Description
The Celtic (q-celtic) word for “moon” is “gealach” Irish, Scots, with a slightly different spelling “giallagh” but same pronuciation in Manx.
“Gealach”, derives from “geal”, meaning “bright” or “white glow”, so it is customary to depict the celtic moon as white in art, whether embroidery, poetry or song.
This Celtic Knot Crescent Moon Banner is approximately 6 inches by 9 inches, and machine-embroidered with a knotwork border at the four corners, and a knotwork crescent moon, which consists of two threads, an inner crescent moon design, and an outline.
